“CREATIVE STREETS FOR DIALOGUE- FROM PECS TO ISTANBUL CONNECTING TWO CULTURAL CAPITALS”

The Project which is implemented by the partnership of Hungarian Juggling Association and Istanbul Pera Fine Arts Culture, Art and Solidarity Association has been realizing within the context of Central Finance& Contracts Unit, Civil Society Dialogue: Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture. Within the context of 9 months lasting Project which will be implemented in 2010, two big activities were held. The Project connects two European Capitals of 2010 especially through the activities including the street, circus, contemporary arts and interactive art activities with public participation both in Turkey and Hungary. Within the context of the Project, 10 days lasting “Creative Streets Festivals” were organized in Pecs between 15-25 July 2010 and in Istanbul between 17-26 September 2010. In both festivals, Turkish and Hungarian artists became together and shared their skills and experiences. During the festivals, circus and acrobatics shows and trainings, flamenco dance, break dance performances, body percussion, flash mob practices, seminars and several different activities were realized.
